Following the closing of our International borders due to COVID 19 the NZDJA and DNZ took an unprecedented approach to review the judges regulations with a view to allowing judges to “fast track” their promotion process to assist with the shortage of judges we are facing. When setting the parameters for these changes, our focus continued to be on producing quality judges.
At our board meeting 2nd November we resolved to make 2 two changes and one typo change.
- The pass mark for those sitting theory examinations for their first, second, third and fourth groups will remain at 70%.
- The requirement for observation will apply to all Judges seeking promotion to their first group panel who have not previously sat and passed the written open show examination.
A copy of the updated regulations are now on the website (click here) with changes approved this week in blue.
